The R35 GT-R Dry Carbon Roof is now in production. Prepreg dry carbon has been used to form a stronger carbon product. Compared to the stock metal plate this product is 4.9kg lighter and proves to be just as strong. Prepreg dry carbon uses carbon fiber material impregnated with resin, applied to a mold in a bag with a vacuum and baked in a pressurized oven to form and cure. Product formed with this method is often found in high-end race cars. By applying a smoke finish to our super clear coating, when looked at from a distance it looks as though itﾕs Piano Black, but when outside and exposed to sunlight you can see the carbon weaves pattern.
