Designed for the Garrett PowerMax turbocharger upgrade for the 2004.5-2010 LLY, LBZ, and LMM 6.6L Duramax engines.
PTP Turbo Blankets are used in help insulate the heat under the hood caused by your turbo charger. Reductions in temperature under the hood up to 60% can be seen through the use of PTP Turbo Blankets.
Reducing heat under the hood is imperative for condensing the air reaching your intake manifold and ultimately your engine. This will result in both increased horsepower and improved reliability.
We often use PTP products on any customer car where the engine is being removed. The low cost of these products offer a high return in overall performance given the engine / turbo is being removed from the vehicle.
The lava blankets are made with a pulverized volcanic lava rock formed into fabric and woven into a tight mesh weave outer layer. Rated 1800°F Direct Heat / 2500°F Radiant Heat.
All PTP Turbo Blankets are internally insulated with high temperature calcium magnesium silicate wool (Rated 1832°F Continuous / 2300°F Peak) overlaid with a high temperature stainless steel mesh for increased durability and improved thermal resistance.
All products are made in North America - (USA / Canada)
